For thirty years, Joey drove Vegas secrets. Tonight, one of them gets in his car.
LOGLINE
For nearly thirty years, Joey “Wheels” Santoro, a 67-year-old former wheelman turned chauffeur, has driven Las Vegas’s most powerful people while surviving by one rule: drive, don’t hear, don’t see, don’t remember. But when Joey overhears a murder cover-up implicating the nephew of casino king Dominic “Dom” Marcelli, his longtime employer, and discovers his Lincoln has recorded the evidence, the invisible driver becomes the most hunted man in Vegas. With former ER nurse Nina Quinn, sharp-edged escort Roxie Bell, and sportsbook investor Preston Vale trapped in the car with him, Joey must use everything he learned driving old Vegas to survive one violent night—and decide whether loyalty still means silence when silence makes him complicit.
THE STORY
Joey “Wheels” Santoro has spent three decades carrying politicians, celebrities, whales, mistresses, mobsters and judges through Las Vegas without becoming part of their stories. Once the wheelman old Vegas trusted to move people, money and secrets, Joey now drives exclusively for Dom Marcelli and knows every service tunnel, casino entrance, unfinished hotel and desert road the new generation never bothered to learn. Then three frantic men climb into his Lincoln after a drug deal and murder go wrong. Through a faulty intercom Joey hears them discuss dead cocktail waitress Camila Rey, Dom’s reckless nephew Nico, and a cover-up that ends with four words: no witnesses, no driver. Joey's next passengers—Preston, Nina and Roxie—are barely inside the Lincoln before motorcycles and a black SUV turn the Strip into a kill zone. The chauffeur disappears. The driver comes back.
As the battered Lincoln runs through the hidden geography of Las Vegas, Joey discovers its recorder captured the conversation about Camila—a young woman who once asked him for help and whom Joey abandoned because staying out of other people's business was how he survived. Nina's medical training keeps the group alive, Roxie proves considerably tougher than anyone assumed, and Preston discovers his sports-betting company is embedded in Nico's laundering operation. The evidence eventually leads them back to the abandoned Silver Meridian, a dead Marcelli casino where Preston can expose the network and Joey must confront the man who taught him to confuse loyalty with silence. When Nico and Julian Cross flee into the desert, Joey has one final opportunity to solve the problem the old way. Instead, he leaves them alive to answer for what they did. At dawn, Joey gives Camila's mother the original recording, climbs into the scarred Lincoln alone and drives toward daylight—no passenger, no boss and no privacy divider between himself and the world.
THE DRIVER IS NO LONGER INVISIBLE.
Everybody talks when they think the driver isn't listening.
