BISCUITS

ANIMATED COMPETITION COMEDY | FEATURE | 95 MIN

LOGLINE

Swaggering Siamese show cat Chuckles enters the world’s most prestigious biscuit-making competition convinced the ribbon already belongs to him — until a wildly mismatched field of feline rivals, obsessive human handlers and one scrappy orange outsider force him to decide whether being the best matters more than becoming part of something bigger than himself.

THE STORY

Chuckles doesn’t compete.

He allows comparison.

Elegant, vain, funny and impossibly sure of himself, Chuckles arrives expecting a coronation.

Instead, he gets Tater, an orange street hustler who treats every room like a buffet; Priscilla, a Persian diva with impossible grooming standards; Slick, a fearless Sphynx with no fur and no insecurity; Moose, a gigantic Maine Coon with the heart of a saint; Hex, a black cat who enjoys letting everyone believe the superstition; Dozer, a Ragdoll who considers ambition exhausting; and Radar, an American Curl who hears everything and therefore knows everything.

The humans think they’re running the show.

The cats know better.

The tournament escalates through five increasingly ridiculous rounds:

THE KNEAD rhythm and technique.
DOUBLE PAWsymmetry and endurance.
SPEED BISCUITINGfast paws, louder crowds, total chaos.
FREESTYLE music, props, costumes and handlers losing their minds.
THE GRAND BISCUIT no humans, no corrections, no excuses.

Chuckles dominates.

Tater barely belongs there.

That is exactly why Chuckles can’t stand him.

Tater has no pedigree, no polish and no respect for the rules. He survives every round through instinct, improvisation and pure nerve. Chuckles sees a stray.

Everybody else starts seeing a friend.

Then the final round arrives.

Chuckles has the perfect setup.

Perfect cushion. Perfect lighting. Perfect score.

The ribbon is his.

Tater freezes.

For one beat, Chuckles can stay where he is and win everything he came for.

Instead, he walks away.

He crosses the stage.

And helps Tater finish.

That is the turn.

Chuckles enters believing greatness means standing above everyone else.

He leaves understanding it can mean standing beside them.

The final callback lands:

“May the best cat win.”

Chuckles looks at Tater, Priscilla, Slick, Moose, Hex, Dozer and Radar.

“Already did.”

THE COMEDY

The humans take everything catastrophically seriously.

Priscilla’s handler spends six hours grooming her.

She immediately sits in something wet.

Slick gets asked:

“Where’s your fur?”

“Where’s your tact?”

Dozer is told to get up.

“Counteroffer: no.”

Someone asks Tater about his pedigree.

“I wasn’t bred. I happened.”

Radar knows every scandal.

Hex starts rumors simply by sitting quietly.

Moose accidentally blocks entire hallways.

And Chuckles spends most of the movie pretending he does not care about any of them.

Which is how we know he eventually will.

MAY THE BEST CAT WIN.

The humans think this is their cat show.

The cats know better.
