FEATURE | PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER / SERIAL KILLER / NEO-NOIR

The perfect escape means nothing if you leave everyone behind.

LOGLINE

Career thief and industrial electrician Ray Pike assembles three trusted professionals for a seventeen-minute break-in beneath New York to steal the Root Key, a cryptographic device worth eight million dollars. When they discover it can poison a person's digital identity and make the modern world stop believing they are who they claim to be, the perfect extraction becomes a fight to disappear before someone disappears them.

THE STORY

Ray Pike trusts infrastructure more than people: concrete, locks, elevators and forgotten telephone tunnels either work or they don't. For one last job, he takes Cece Kwon, Leno Baptiste and Arty Roane beneath New York through an abandoned passage called the Dead Line, giving them seventeen minutes to breach NODE 6, steal the Root Key and vanish.

But NODE 6 security chief Willa Drake begins reading Ray's disturbances with the same obsessive precision he uses to create them, turning an old-school burglary into a real-time duel inside the city's forgotten infrastructure. As the seventeen-minute window collapses and the true power of the Root Key emerges, Ray discovers that executing the perfect exit may require sacrificing the people he brought inside.

A CLEAN EXIT IS THE WHOLE JOB. UNTIL IT ISN'T.

You can disappear from the system. You can't disappear from what you leave behind.
