As the city prepares to unveil the Statue of Liberty, Isaiah's investigation pulls his family into a conspiracy connecting developers, architects, labor organizers, newspapers and City Hall. 01 — A RESPECTABLE FRONT

A defective block from Lot 17B crushes a worker, and Isaiah exposes the compromised stone during a public inspection meant to showcase New York's progress. By morning the evidence has been painted over—and the people responsible have begun looking at Isaiah's family. Pasted text

02 — THE WIFE

City Hall and quarry magnate Oren Blackstone turn their attention to Ruby, using her laundry network and Julian's stolen notebook to pressure the Carters. Isaiah follows the dead stone backward and discovers a quarry bookkeeper who knew far too much. Pasted text

03 — LEDGER OF DUST

Financial records suggest defective stone isn't confined to one building—it may already be standing across entire blocks of Manhattan. As Julian and Clara compare architectural drawings with forged inspections, somebody decides the safest way to erase the paper trail is to burn it. Pasted text

04 — THE FIFTH STREET HOUSE

A wealthy homeowner is murdered inside a finished brownstone containing political ledgers that could connect construction fraud directly to City Hall. 05 — THE PIT
